The '07 Galletta's Kart Club's season is here for your enjoyment. Team Galletta's boasts the largest home dirt kart track, most weekly karting competitors, the most laps run, the most driving talent, the most speed-for-price ratio, and the class with the highest kart counts in the local area, and by far the most affordable carting anywhere in the world! And, our joint series with Oswego Speedway's dirt oval Kartway creates the largest known championship karting series in Oswego County, featuring fifty-seven different drivers competing in twenty-eight events in 2007 alone! The above chart shows the combined scoring totals every Oswego Speedway and Galletta's Greenhouse gas-only, 5-8hp "Super Yard Kart" event. These classes have been called the "street cred" karting in the local area by someone who races both, and if you can't cut it in this class, then you better stick with your own 2-7 kart events and think your better than you really are. Overpriced methanol drivers who think that they are better drivers than us just because their karts cost 10x's as much, you are not, and you can use your arrogance as an excuse, but cowards need not apply. Methanol drivers who want closer and more competitive racing, do apply and race both!
Galletta's Go-Kart Speedway is a 0.133887 mile dirt oval and can be seen from outer space! The single-wheel-drive karts take the track between 15-17 seconds per lap which averages around 30 mph (probably 45-50 mph top speed in the straights). Our speeds are comparable to alcohol/methanol karts that cost 8 times as much because we use only stock parts and gas; leading to more karts, more competition, and more fun. Welcome! We are a stock 5-horsepower Dirt Go-Karting Club that races for a Points championship every Sunday from June-thru-August & every weekend from September-thru-October since the early 1990s! We race at Galletta's Greenhouse's not-for-profit/race-at-your-own-risk Go-Kart Speedway, and summer Thursdays at Oswego Speedway's Dirt Oval. Though we are mainly just friends and family, we invite new people to watch us or race with us. Sound like fun? Then try one of our karts or bring your own gas yard kart and join us on Summer-Fall weekends!
