WELCOME TO THE GALLETTA'S KARTING CLUB & BACKYARD SPEEDWAY WEBSITE! We are a Karting Club that invented an extremely affordable 5hp flathead, Single Wheel Drive "Gas stocker" karts for a Points championship every summer at Galletta's Greenhouse Karting Speedway and a traveling points show at other local area tracks upon invatation (formerly Oswego Kartway until the insane track operator booted our class out because he didn't personally like us). Hybrid between a WKA flat-kart (similar speeds, but far less cost) and a yard kart (but much stronger and faster than one) and built to race anywhere (backyard speedways or race facilities) - the cheapest competitive karting series in the world!  We also have recorded weekly dirt karting classes in the Oswego area and make them available on DVD. Sunday, October 11th, 2009 in Oswego, NY - Fall "Bonus Points" Race

 

Galletta's Kart Club 2009 Volume #15 DVD:
This DVD includes Speedmonkey's Attack Night race on September 19th, 2009, the Post-Klassic '09 Fall Bonus Points Race on October 11th, 2009, and previously unreleased bonus practice footage from the All-Galletta's race on August 23rd, 2009. Almost 2 hours in the highest-quality resolution. 16:9 Anamorphic widescreen video, Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo/Pro-Logic Surround, and two camera angles of most of the action.  Price $5.

Due to his work schedule as a trucker, Dick Dann could only race around once per month this season at Galletta's, and to make matters worse, two of those potential race dates were rained out. Having motor problems on his #86 and #68 team karts, Dick navigated the Galletta's #7 kart this evening, and led all 25-laps and take his 1st feature win of 2009, hence keeping his streak of at least one feature win per season since his rookie campaign in 2006. The kart is fast, and in a shocker, went unused in the prior weekend's Galletta's Klassic 200. The Galletta's #7 is a handicap kart set-up for heavier drivers (lighter, longer, and a bigger race cam than the other karts), and Dick Dann again proved yet again how capable it is to win a feature in with an experienced driver behind the wheel. Matt (#6) and Chris (#2) tried out backups and found them fast, but Dick became the 12th different Feature Winner out of 18 features held at Galletta's, proving to be the most competitive season in our history! With a solid rookie class this season, next season looks even more promising than this one.

Final Order of Finish for October 11th, 2009's 25-Lap Fall Bonus Points Feature:

1st - Dick Dann (Galletta's Greenhouse #7) = Earned 68 "Fall Bonus" points & 1 Feature Win

2nd - Larry Phillips (L&K Small Engine #04) = Earned 65 "Fall Bonus" points

3rd - Chris Stevens (Galletta's Greenhouse #2) = Earned 62 "Fall Bonus" points

4th - Matt Stevens (Galletta's Greenhouse #6) = Earned 59 "Fall Bonus" points

5th - Melissa Stevens (Stevens Racing #19) = Earned 52 "Fall Bonus" points

NOTE: FALL-SERIES BONUS POINTS WILL BE TALLIED AT SEASON'S END (separate from Summer Series).
